How We Rate Casinos
Every casino that appears in a Casino Weekly listing goes through the same checklist. The goal is simple: a Canadian player should be able to see, before signing up, who runs the site, how money goes in and out, and what the bonus really asks for.
- Licence and operatorWe record the licensing authority and the company behind the brand. Ontario pages only list operators registered with iGaming Ontario.
- Canadian cashierWe look for CAD accounts and the payment methods Canadians use — Interac e-Transfer, iDebit, Instadebit, cards, e-wallets and vouchers — plus minimum deposits.
- Bonus termsMatch percentage, maximum amount, free spins, wagering and minimum deposit are taken from the published terms. Unconfirmed figures are not printed.
- Games and studiosSlots, table games and live dealer lobbies, and which software providers supply them.
How listings are ordered
Listings mix three kinds of operators: casinos with the strongest current welcome packages for Canadian players, brands that Canadian review portals list most often, and long-established names in the market. Only operators we have a commercial agreement with appear in a listing, and the order changes between pages so each list fits the topic of the page — a PayPal page lists casinos that take PayPal, a live casino page lists casinos with live dealer games.
What we do not do
- We do not publish star ratings, scores or user reviews we cannot verify.
- We do not show bonus amounts on our Ontario page — AGCO rules do not allow inducements to be advertised there.
- We do not list a casino without a confirmed welcome offer or a clear licence record.
Corrections
Offers change quickly. Pages show the date they were last checked; if an operator changes its terms, the operator's own terms and conditions always apply.
